New aftermarket starter motor to suit some Kohler Command engines fitted to ride on mowers, stationary engines and small diggers, etc. We sell more than one starter to suit Kohler – please ensure this matches your requirements.
* 9 tooth steel gear, solenoid type
This starter is no longer available genuine, and is usually swapped to a 10 tooth starter due to difficulty sourcing this correct type. Now you can fit the same style as original.

If you need help selecting a starter motor please send us an email with ALL details from your mower engine including MODEL, plus SPEC or TYPE depending on the brand. Some starters might look similar to the starter you currently have but have a slight difference – they most likely will NOT work as each starter has a specific application. It is also possible that the starter currently on your machine is not correct, especially if you have not had the machine long, or the last starter wore out quickly.
